The book is a bit difficult to read, but the story is much richer than any movie or series adaptation I’ve ever seen (and I’ve seen a few). I’ve even seen the 4-hour director’s cut on DVD, which was a much better story than the cut version that made it to the theaters.
Indeed, the entry on the “underdeveloped” human species is one of the best-written and entertaining features of the book. Galactic Aliens remains one of my favorite books and always bring backs fond memories.
